Summer Program for Young Orthodox Scholars

The Summer Program for Young Orthodox Scholars (SPYOS) provides promising High School and transfer students the opportunity to earn college credit while challenging themselves intellectually and spiritually. Students will live in residence on Eastern University’s campus with a select group of peers engaged in rigorous coursework and discussion of Great Books by Orthodox Christian literary figures.

Minor in Orthodox Thought and Culture

The Center offers Eastern University students the opportunity to minor in Orthodox Thought and Culture. It features an interdisciplinary, integrated curriculum focused on the Great Books of the Church Fathers, as well as other noteworthy but rarely studied Orthodox theologians, philosophers, novelists, poets, statesmen, cultural figures, musicians, iconographers, and artists.
